hey guys i gotta couple more "offline" questions for ya. i've been playing at a friends house a lot and he doesn't have hardly any players or courses unlocked. is there a way that i can transfer my guys and courses to his wii so we don't have to go through the trouble unlocking everything? i fully admit i don't know how to do anything on the wii but put a game in, and press power! also, i've been wanting to build some courses. my problem is i don't know off the top of my head which holes are which simply by the hole number. i have holes pictured in my head, and i know what course it's on, but just have to guess if it's the right one for my course. is there anyone on here that maybe has a list of all the holes with either descriptions or pictures? i want to make about 2 courses that are the toughest ones i can create and this would really help. i'm sure i'm reaching here but any help would be great. thanks again guys.

Well as for playing on your friend's Wii, I don't think there is a way to to transfer all that stuff. I think those types of things (unlocked characters, courses, etc.) are saved on the Wii system memory, and I don't think there is any way to get them on an SD card. I could be off here. Jokker posted about this in this post, but I think he was just talking about saving your career profile character's stuff. You might ask him about this. And as for creating your course, I wish I had exactly what you were talking about. When working on tigerwoodspgatour.com, I'm always in need of hole descriptions and pictures. I've found some of this info on the real life golf course websites (for instance, DoralGolf.com), but usually the pictures are more about aesthetics and not about showing you a perfect view of the hole. So my answer for you? Well you can do what I did. I just kept a pad and paper on the end table where I play TW09. As I played rounds, I quickly jotted down holes of interest. Not the quickest route, but if you play alot anyway, it'll go quickly for you.

I believe what you are asking is to simple bring your built characters and all unlocked items to your friends Wii because he has not built his up very far yet.
Before you do anything, save his data to SD card then copy to his computer
The only way to copy your data to your friends Wii, will eliminate whatever he has done on his game thus far. You can not, in any way, merge your data with your friends data, it just can't be done as far as I know.
If you want to replace his data with your data it is very simple. Save your Tiger Woods data to an SD card and bring the SD card to your friends Wii. Turn on your friends Wii and delete his Tiger Woods save file. Now just copy your save file to your friends Wii and there you have it.
In regards to course building, I always use a created course when friends play me at home. I have a course I call 'Splash down', bet you can figure out what kind of holes I have in that course. I have a course full of reachable par 4's for when I need to add to my EGO, I call this course 'Eagle Mania'. I also have a course that is all par 3's I simply call 'Make it in 1'. It is fun to build courses and it takes some time. When I get an idea for a course, while playing games with people, I start writing down the # and the course name for any hole I want to add until I get all my holes.

thanks for the advice guys. i figured that's what i'd have to do regarding building my courses. i've been doing it for years and it's actually pretty fun. i just thought with all you computer savvy people out there maybe someone did the busy-work and posted it on the net. as far as the wii transferring goes, i'm not sure he's ever even made a guy. we normally just play with random pros but he doesn't have very many, and he has almost no courses which is really annoying. now.....what the hell is a SD card, where do i get one, and where does it go into my wii? ;D

An SD card is a very thin memory card, about 1" by 1" in size. You can buy an SD card just about anywhere, games stores, wallmart, etc., they cost very little depending on size. An SD card for game save files does not need to be very big, 1 Gig is fine, or even 1/2 Gig. When your Wii console is upright with the disc slot vertical, there is an access door on the top of your Wii console, inside that door is a slot for the SD card.
With the disc slot facing at you, vertically, the label on the SD card will face left as you press the card down into the slot. The Sd card label faces the same direction as the TW09 disc label.
Everyone should have an SD card and save your data regularly, just in case. If your Wii console quits workig, you still have your data to put into your new Wii console, or your friends console.
Hope this helps TheJokker

SD cards are those little memory cards that go into digital cameras and such. See a picture of one here. They are insanely easy to find. Walk into any electronics store, including electronics departments in Walmart and Target, and simply ask someone to show them to you. The price depends on how much space you're buying on the card. You can usually find a couple of Gigs for around $12-14 these days. The SD card goes into the little slot in the front of your Wii. On the side of the Wii that has the power button, you should see a little flap door that opens. It's real skinny. If you open that little door you'll see a small slot. That's where you put the SD card.

Oops, MY BAD, Chin is right, the slot is in the front of the Wii console, right next to the disc slot is the access door. The SD card label does face the same as your TW disc, I did get that part right, man I guess I need some more coffee, haha.
Thanx Chin

thanks again guys. i have about 5 of those babies laying around! I do really appreciate the help though cause i'm getting a little tired of playing the same 4 or so courses over and over. i know this is a tight-knit online group, but for my money it doesn't get better than playing a friend or 2 live at someones house. we've been playing pretty much every weekend with a cooler of beer, and crazy side games for cash on every hole! very fun. thanks again for all the help. I'm off to research some holes and courses and do some course-creating! thanks again.

I just did the saving this weekend after reading Jokker's advice. Keep in mind that Wii had a system update a few weeks ago for use of an SD card (you have the update if on the main Wii menu in lower left there is an icon of SD Card). If your system needs updating go into the OPTIONs menu and navigate to something called system update (I do not recall the exact steps, you'll need to be online as well). Once updated put the SD card in the slot located in the front of the Wii (behind a flip open door). From the Wii option menu, go under Data Management, I do not recall the exact steps but you can select the TW09 icon and click Copy to copy it to the SD card. Once it is saved on the card you can remove the card and make a copy of it on your PC or just keep it in a safe place.
