I just joined but I saw this topic and thought this board could help. My wii eject button is almost flat against the panel and you have to press it hard to get the disc to eject but it will eject. I'm afraid to fiddle with it because I might make it worse. Are there any tips for this?

Hey Hog, Not much you can do, since it sounds like it is a mechanical problem related to the microswitch behind the button, or the button is jammed somehow. Only solutions I can think of are as follows: - Send it back to Nintendo to get fixed... Might take a couple weeks to get it back - Go to GameStop or other video game retailer, and see if they have a tool to take the Wii apart and fix the button from the inside. - Mess with it yourself with the understanding that the worst case leads you back to option #1, but you might be able to fix it. -Or leave it alone till it really breaks. If I did mess with it myself I would get a flat instrument, like a nail file or something even thinner, and try to pry the button out a little ways and then see if it still works, it might just be stuck? Hope this gives you a little direction and I have my fingers crossed for you SkinniePost

Thanks for the tip. This wii is not new, it was given to me so I'm guessing sending it back would be costly. I'm not sure. I think you're right on the last option. The worst thing that could happen would be that it quits working. Thanks.
