Just wondering what counts towards the EA "live" tournaments." I've played three of the Play the Pros and one of the 4 day EA tournies. Currently ranked 185th on the money list.
I know the daily doesn't get anything, but does anyone know if both Play the Pros and the EA 4 round tournies pay $$$$$?
Thanks!
Also, if you see me on line I play as:
tiger666 only in the "live tournaments" and the WiiGA events. Tiger666 is a true amateur who plays only out of love of the game.
GolfGod666 plays ranked matches only. He's a grizzled pro who's in it for the money, the glory, the girls and the points. Mainly for the girls.
PS: Hog, I think I just missed playing you last night. Really sorry and hope I get another chance.

When you win the 'Play the Pros' event, it is good for $53,800.
The winner for the Daily Event in the Pro's gets about $190,000, then it drops about $500 per drop in placement. so if you finish 20th, its still worth about $175,00 to $180,000. Just to play will give you some cash . . .
The winner of the Weekly Event in the Pro's gets about $900,000. If you finish in the top 10, its still worth over $750,000, not sure of any exact numbers but these are fairly close.
Just to play any of these events will give you some cash towards the leader board, even the Amateur area which seems to be about half the amount of the Pro events. That is why I will NEVER catch the top earners who play both the Pro and Amateur events, I ONLY play the Pro events so I don't get any cash from the Amateur events like some of the top guys on the leader board do.
Some of these guys will play an event several times until they get a good score, I usually only play it once unless I REALLY mess up during the first 5 or 6 holes.
A tip for these events that use Live Weather Feed . . . When you start your event and the weather is really bad, turn it off and check back in a couple hours, it MAY change. If you fire up that round and the weather is good, PLAY it while you can, it could turn worse as it has done for me. I have dropped out of a couple events because I had to leave for the store or something, then I get back and fire it up only to find BAD weather. Last weeks 'Play The Pros' and the 'Weekly' events were using dynamic weather at Turnberry. The weather went from not to bad to a bit windy, to rainy and heavy winds. After I finshed my Weekly rounds and went to Play the Pro's, then the weather REALLY calmed down . . .
When you play during Dynamic Weather events is everything sometimes, that is why some shoot quite well, and others play during the bad weather and really struggle. During yesterdays Daily event, I think I only hit about 4 fairways off the Tee, I spent the whole match firing out of the rough, good thing I can read my shots out of the rough well and manaaged to birdie most of my holes, even got a lucky par 4 Eagle to manage a -17.
When you are playing HIGH wind events, consider MORE punch shots, it REALLY helps between 50 and 120 yard shots which are your most important approach shots. I don't like Punch shots over about 100 yards, they don't power correctly.
Just more info, TheJokker
