Lets Talk about FOCUS FOCUS is without a doubt . . . the COOLEST new feature with Tiger Woods 2011. Consider FOCUS as a type of NITRO BOOST for each match. At the beginning of each match you can put your FOCUS where you think it will do you the most good for the match. Each course and each change in settings could change your choice for FOCUS
You can FOCUS on Power . . . Accuracy . . . Recovery . . . or SpinWith TW10 you simply added some Bonus to your Attributes which would boost your attributes for all your matches. Depending on what items you purchased in the Pro Shop it would boost your attributes with Bonus values. This would take several hours of searching through your items in the Pro Shop until you found a set of items that gave you Bonus values where you wanted them
With TW11 it is much easier to consider all your options for FOCUS potential . . . It is all in your Club Selections . . . Pick the Clubs that give you the best FOCUS potentials where you want them
The FOCUS potential does not give you the FOCUS Boost until you select them during the launch of a match. So you must decide which to use before each and every match
When you choose to use FOCUS boost during the launch of a match . . . you must PAY for it . . . The price gets higher as you move up in Level for your Career . . . The Power FOCUS will cost you as much as $4000 if you choose to use it . . . It will cost you as much as $3500 to use for Accuracy . . . Recovery . . . Spin
While you are building your Profile Golfer I would suggest NOT to use FOCUS boost early on . . . perhaps after you have built up your Profile Golfer a bit then consider it. Each time you use FOCUS it will take your money . . . so save your money during the early Challenges. It does you NO good to buy FOCUS boost unless you have the CLUBS with that FOCUS potential for you to use . . . more reason to wait until you purchase some Clubs that have more FOCUS potential to use
The Clubs you have available to use for FOCUS potential will change depending on your Sponsorships. The strongest Clubs in the arsenal are The ‘EA Diamond Series’ Clubs of course, but they unlock when you reach Level 25 in your Career Considerations for Club Selections . . . Power . . . Very helpful for your Driver but useful for all your ClubsAccuracy . . . Very helpful for your Driver & Woods since they are the most difficult to control but useful for all your ClubsRecovery . . . Especially helpful for your Irons & Wedges . . . We almost always take Recovery shots with Irons & Wedges . . . not really needed for Driver & Woods . . . I don’t use them from the rough ! ! !Spin . . . Especially helpful for your Wedges to get it closer to the hole . . . Irons as well for approach shots . . . It is always helpful to have great spin for all clubs of course . . . but Wedges & Irons mostlyI have a pic of my clubs at the moment so I will share it. I have made certain the FOCUS is where I need it[/move] Good luck Dudes . . . HAVE FUN ! ! ! TheJokker Why So Serious ?

Great thread JK! Here's a little more info.............. The lower the level you are, the less expensive it is to buy FOCUS. Level 1 Power is $250 (I think). I am now at level 25 and power cost me $4,000. With my tuning, the driver shows it going at 351 yards. With this extra power, there are a ton more D4's in the game. Holes where I would normally use a wood, I can now use a 1i. Also with all the extra power, it makes playing courses that I thought I knew, much different. It's like I never played them before due to the POWER focus. Of the 12 full rounds I played, my best round thus far was a 48 @ Oakmont and I have set several long drive records. New with 11 in the PGA part of your career, you get these little challenges that pop up. It will say "SkinniePost" has a drive of 363 yards. If you beat him, you will now hold the record. You also earn $ for it. Even if you are close to him, you make a few bucks. On the P3's, you also get a challenge to try and land closer then someone else did. I think this is the coolest feature I have seen. I hold several records, some can be easily broken. I also have a BOBMER of a drive on hole #14 @ Oakmont. It is a D4 that I almost out drove. With some spin, I was able to make the green but had an 83 footer coming back. I made the eagle. This drive of 350 will most likely stand for some time. - ken

Hey Ken. I knew about this challenge feature, but in the almost 30 games I have played, I have yet to see one challenge. Is it something I need to toggle on/off in options? Thanks

I know this will sound silly, but its how tw11 is set up. You have to be online to see it offline.
So on the bottom of the screen, make sure it say blackhawks01 (or whatever you are using). If it doesn't, sign online as if you are going to play SIM. Once online, select your persona, and then exit as if you are signing off in TW10. Now you will be online, but playing offline. Your name will be displayed in the bottom part of the screen to the left. Once that is done, select your career, PGA. Then you will see who has the longest drives and closest approaches on Par 3's.
At the beginning of the hole, an "instant challenge" message will automatically pop up.

If so i havent done any and dont anticipate it unless i lose internet. WAIT then i would not be online. This stuff doesnt happen then on dailies or sim?

The only place I have seen it, is in my PGA. It doesn't show up daily's or SIM. Though that would be awesome!

Question for anyone...can you get a green grid on TW11 if you are not putting? Chipping from off the green, or even shooting from the fairway. I have checked but dont know if I missed it or it just doesnt exist...Nelmo

same as TW10- its there when you chip, if your range is near where you are aiming.
