Hello fellow Wiiga members. A little over a month ago I stumbled upon the Ea thread pages. Not exactly sure how or why I found them, but I did. I then had a question, and registered looking for a solution. As I scrolled through the various threads I kept coming across posts that say come to Wiiga and the like. I thought what the heck is Wiiga. I followed the link and checked out the site. And at that time, that was as far as I went with it. Continuing to read the threads, Wiiga was popping up more and more. I posted on one of the threads and Trojanman responded. He told me to join Wiiga as that was the only time I would get a rematch with him. I responded to him " who said I ever wanted a rematch". Then SkinniePost chimes in and sends several PM's all but begging me to join. SP I said to myself whats the big deal there anyway? I checked out the site one more time and still didn't get it. I thought I had to connect my Wii to the computer somehow, in order to do Wiiga, So I stayed away. Meanwhile back at the threads, Wiiga was all over on them. Many posts insisted that if you join Wiiga, you will learn things and your game will improve. I feel good with my game but finally say, I'm joining. (Thanks TM and SP for the push ! ) I join fully expecting to learn a few tips/tricks. Although I have learned some, it is much more than I originally expected. The number one thing I have learned at Wiiga is that it is a group of players who want to have fun and really enjoy TW10. The site is well maintained and easy to navigate. My first experience in chat, I played a round and was asked to confirm the scores. So unaware of score posting at the time, I say in chat..... "Yes I confirm those scores". Well that got a huge response of smileys and the like. Sorry I said, as I was just a newbie. Fast forward to the present. I cannot express enough just how much of a blast I have with Wiiga. Sometimes I just hang out in chat for the conversations. The stuff that some members come off with is absolutely hilarious ! ;D The golf conditions we select are a challenge. I absolutely love the "web High 5's" guys do when someone aces a hole or makes Eagle. Throw that into the mix of back and fourth banter (all in good fun) and the chat room is hands down, an absolute treat. Thank you all for making my Wiiga experience a pleasure ! - Ken

Wonderfully said Ken! Cheers to you.I think you put into words what most of us, especially me, feel about this place.I didn't join here until late September of this year, and since then I have kicked myself in the butt for waiting so long.Within moments of entering the chat room for the very first time I was welcomed by all and felt very comfortable here. Not to single anyone out, everyone here is fantastic, but I would like to especially thank DGG and Skinnie. Thank you my friends. This what a video game with online interaction could and should be; and it's the members here that make that happen.Merry christmas to us all and our families and here's hoping that 2010 brings more of the same, plus a little more

Very well said ken, what you have stated we do begin to take for granted after a while. We even start to avoid the headaches of sim matches now and then. After a time when we can't play for whatever reason, such as my vacation, then we really miss our home away from home and appreciate it even more when we finally get back into the group.
People on the EA forum seem to get tired of WiiGA popping into various threads but they don't understand how excited some of us get after a few great sessions in our chat room. We try to share with them so they can have some fun and also add to our fun, some will give it a try, some will just stay as they are and not even consider giving it a shot.
I for one, really enjoy seeing some of the names I have played, when they decide to check us out. It adds so much to the online golfing experience to have the opportunity to chat with our opponents.
Thanx for the great thread ken TheJokker

Right on KenW... It has been great having you around... And I look forward many more matches with ya in the future ;D On a side but related though... Ken and I discussed having a Good Games thread on the WiiGA boards, like the one on EA, which I think would be great, but to take the idea one step furthur... We should collect post like this and put them somewhere easy for potential new members, who are deciding rather or not to join, to read... sort of like a testimonial I think it really helps to communicate what goes down in the WiiGA community. Later, SkinniePost

Awesome idea SkinniePost ! Front and center certainly grabs the eye. Prior to you new idea, one had to be signed on to read this thread. Potential new members wouldn't have been able to read this thread. Now they can ! On a side note of my own............. I made the front page! - ken

ill chime in early on this one. i have played all but 1 of the seasons since the begginning of this great online golfing group. i got tw 09 a little later than some, the christmas after release. i recieved it as a gift to play on my kids wii. i had played a little of the previous versions. the original on ps and the first release on x box, but since having children hadnt looked at video games for a number of years. i didnt even know it had online untill i got and dove straight in using super tiger online untill my profile was up to scratch.
thankfully i registered at ea forum as soon as i got the game and found it very helpfull. there were many references to our old site the DGA and i took a look. the biggest problem and reasons i didnt join straight away was it was a little confusing to understand the site and i noticed it was pretty much all U.S based players, so i didnt bother.
over the next few weeks i enjoyed several good games versus Hog and played my nemisis and good friend from 09 putterr countless times ( losing mostly ) for me these were the games i was enjoying most. about then i read a post from putterr on EA saying joining the DGA was the best thing he had done and decided if icant beat em join em.
as soon as i joined i logged into chat and begun asking all the stupid Qs. everybody was great and within a few day nothing on the site was difficult to understand. so for me thats the big thing. if you join dont just have a look and dont come back. get into chat and ask anything. you will never meet a better bunch of guys. this place has become my online home as it has for many. even when im too tired to type or play ill just hang in chat and read the banter between members.
all the best friends and future friends

Hello Fellow WiiGA Members!
Thank you for the opportunity to play in an eviroment that takes the game to a different level of enjoyment. I have been playing the TW series since the x-box (not the 360.) When the xbox version was no longer made I then moved to the Wii vesion and have not looked back. However playing solo (my wife does not really care for golf although she will watch me play an occassional round and enjoys helping me create my character) had its limitations. Upon receiving TW 2010 I encountered a different level of game.
At first I felt as though the M+ was TOO sensitive. I then did a search and found NoChinDeluxe's site. Which then led me to the EA TW Wii forum (which many of you and now I post on) and then I found this site with G's recommendation. At first I just poked around on the site and found some additional very helpful tips. I then decided self... this looks like too much fun. WOW!! You folks are so great to chat with and play rounds with. I never in my wildest dreams would have thought playing online would be this much fun. And I know why... it is NOT *just* the online play but the commaraderie that is built up amongst us in the chatroom AND the online play combined. This forum provides a place to hang out, join a round, meet at the virtual 19th hole (aka my reference to the chat room), and saddle up on the course again!
I want to thank KenW for playing my first innaugural round last week. I have also shot rounds with JB, and Ike. WOW you folks have got game. I need to work on mine but I am having so much fun I think a friend of mine across town just may join as well.
Thank you ALL for having such a lively and wonderful forum to take this game to another level.
Fairways and greens, MDACAMP
(moe:hey! lets go shoot some golf. curly: Shoot GOLFS?! How we gonna shoot GOLFS if we ain't got no GUNS?!!...saaLLLAAAAPP!)
